I stood in the opening to his box, looking at the place where he had laid only hours ago. The tears still streaming down my face, feeling too tired to wipe them away I just let them. I couldn’t believe this, any of this. Yesterday when I had left the stable he was fine, munching on his hay in his normal, calm matter. This morning I arrived to him lying on his side, trying to roll but too exhausted. There was nothing we could do. Now he’s gone, and all that’s left is an empty box, only filled with memories.

The inside of the stable was still and cool, filled with the slow, soothing sound of the horses chewing. The darkness was creeping closer with every minute but there was still some light from the late autumn sun. This was her favourite place. The smell of the warm bodies filled her nose and the calm energy filled her soul. While sitting in Faxis box, watching the chestnut coloured horse chew his hay, she couldn’t help but to wonder what she’d do without him. Surely nothing good. She felt herself drift away, a feeling of warmth and safety softly covering her.

The crowd fell silent, holding their breaths as they came closer to the jump. It was a big, wide triple bar, painted blue and yellow and decorated with birch leaves. Every equipage before them had failed when they had faced it, all of them in a different way. A tense feeling imbued the arena; would they make it? Or would they fail like all the others before them? Nea counted the strides in their head. “9..” The crowd still silent, still motionless as if frozen in time. One more and they’d take off, taking on the impossible jump. “10” Soaring.

Hello,

My name is Alex, I'm 26 years old and I live in Sweden.

My creative hobbies are many. I enjoy photography, drawing (both digital and traditional), writing, crocheting, playing music, and DIYing things. I also really love animals and currently live with 9 pets. I have 5 personal pets which are my cat, Göte, and my 4 mice, Shade, Skaði, Ihi, and Ma'at. I also have two foster cats, Maj-Britt (Majsan) and Tequila, plus my sisters two mice, Hecate and Rana.

I'm kinda geeky and I love everything that has to do with fantasy. My favorite books are The Name of the Wind and The Wise Man's Fear by Patrick Rothfuss, Fangirl and Carry on by Rainbow Rowel, the Skulduggery Pleasant series by Derek Landy, Simon vs. the Homo Sapiens Agenda and The Upside of Unrequited by Becky Albertalli. I have a special interest in Harry Potter however I don't support JKR.

Life updates

Once again it really has been a while. A lot has happened these last few years and the changes has mostly been for the better. I have discovered a lot about myself and made changes to my life that has resulted in an all over much better well being. First of all, I dropped out of the Graphic Design program. It really didn't work out and I actually got burned out trying to power through it. This was back at the beginning of 2018 and I ended up seeking medical help due to my mental health. Since then I have gone through a psych evaluation and have been diagnosed with ASD, ADD, PTSD, and Social Anxiety. I am also taking anti-depressants which are honestly doing wonders for my mental health. I also ditched my ex-fiance and while it actually added to my PTSD at first (due to said persons actions), I'm much better off for it. In September 2019 I started studying again. This time, however, on 50% speed and I'm studying North Saami, aiming for a Master's in Linguistics. It's going to take

New school year and travel.

Wow, it is really a long ass time since I wrote something here, but then keeping a blog or jornal have never been one of my strong suits if I am to be compleatly honset. It is now a new school year and I am done with everything from last year which is really nice, and of course I'm already lagging behind, ahaha. The classes that I'm taking right now are Image Processing and Design of Inteactive Websites. Aka one that involves things I find really fun (photo editing, woop) and one that involves things that are boring as all hell and I don't undertand (JavaScript, uuhu). But hopefully I will be able to emerge on the other side without any lasti
